Eight easy to print mailboxes of diverse design.

This set of 1:87 H0 scaled mailboxes are inspired by both older and more modern design. One mailbox is slightly bigger than the others and is intended as a typical yellow city mailbox that we have scattered all over towns in Sweden. The post office city mailbox is of an older design from somewhere around the 60th. You can find it just outside the side entrance to Faringe train station. Mailbox

The other mailboxes are designed to look like both wooden, plastic and metal ones. I also added one mailbox of the typical American design.

A closer look at five of the printed mailboxes (the squares in the table cloth are 15x15 mm): Mailbox

The blue horn is photo-chopped into the picture, I didn't manage to paint it. If you look closely in the picture with Faringe train station you can however see that BISON (my dad) managed to get a hint of a blue horn onto the mailbox. I think it is probably better to print it on a paper and glue on if possible unless you have as steady hands as my dad.

The last three mailboxes have some more details and I recommend printing with resin rather than PLA. Mailbox

However I did separate versions for two of them, where I exaggerated the design a bit, to make them possible to print also with PLA. Mailbox

The flag on the mailbox of American design is visible even when printing with PLA! I didn't think it would be be possible but the Prusa printer continue to amaze me. The mailbox comes with and without a flag. Might be better to glue on a standing up paper flag instead.

Print orientation and assembly

The mailboxes can be printed without any support. The ones in the pictures above were all printed laying flat onto the print bed.

The mailbox of American design can be printed separately and glued on to it's post or printed as one part. You can print it with a flag that is folded down or print the flag free version and glue on a paper flag that stands up.
