There is something with Hot Air Balloons that just makes you happy when you see them. Maybe it's how colorful they are or how fun it must be to be that high up without any walls around you. Or maybe, it's just the tingling feeling that they seem so fragile and might crash at any moment…
One of my favorite designs on Thingiverse is a Hot Air Balloon designed by Gabriel Yun.
My first or second remake was to change this design into 1:87 H0 scale for train dioramas. I basically just changed scale on some parts and made the basket slightly bigger in comparison to the balloon to make it possible to place H0 scaled people in it.
I was never really happy with my first remake so now I have made a second version where the rescaled parts fit a little bit better together.
Below is a picture my Dad (BISON) took of his printed balloon of my first remix.
